To start off with, hooray for the first video post!
This has been in the works for over a month now and I think it’s time we shared a little bit of it. 2 minutes and 20 seconds of our efforts in trying to adapt the HDR process into video. It has actually already been done but since I seem to have misplaced my two 5D Mk II’s and beamsplitter, I made do with what I have. Though there are a host of DSLR remote control applications for computers, I use Canon’s standard EOS Utility to set up interval shooting, most often at 5 second intervals. This has proven to be the most stable and reliable application I’ve seen so far, as well as the only one light enough to run on my OS X Dell A90 netbook. More information about the process is in the video but the real fun stuff will get cranked up when I get some quality time in New Zealand in a few weeks 🙂
